CORNWALL, P.E.I. — The Sherwood Drug Mart Central Attack swept a pair of recent games in the P.E.I. Under-18 AAA Hockey League.
The Attack defeated the Robin’s Mid-Isle Matrix 3-2 Friday night and the Kings County Kings 3-2 on Thursday. Central (15-8-5) leads the five-team circuit while Mid-Isle (11-12-4) is fourth and Kings County (5-17-5) is fifth.
Here’s a recap of the recent contests.

Attack 3 Matrix 2


John MacKinnon had two goals, including the winner with about five minutes to play in the third period, to pace the Attack on Friday.
Nik Reeves also scored in the win at the APM Centre in Cornwall while assists went to Cameron Jennings-Hughes, Ben Watts, MacKinnon and Reeves.
Ryder Howatt and Reese Wyand replied for Mid-Isle with assists going to Gage Taylor, Jacob MacEwen and Braeden Tremere.
Aiden Rose earned the win while Ty Arsenault took the loss.
Central led 1-0 after the first period but the game was tied 2-2 heading to the third.

Attack 3 Kings 2


Darian Jameson and Josh Lund each had a goal and an assist in the win over the Kings at Cody Banks Arena in Charlottetown.
Jack Roberts also scored in the win. Watts had a pair of helpers while Reeves added one.
Alexander Dixon and Gabe Hartlen replied with goals for Kings County. Aidan Banks, Alec Higginbotham, Spencer Miller and goalie Drew Chapman each had an assist.
Keegan Duffy earned the win while Chapman took the loss.
All of the scoring took place in the middle stanza.
Central went 1-for-3 on the power play and killed all eight of Kings County’s chances with the man advantage.
