CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Two Charlottetown Islanders made the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's team of the week.
Goalie Colten Ellis and defenceman Will Trudeau earned the honours. Ellis allowed one goal and stopped 96 per cent of the shots he faced in defeating the Saint John Sea Dogs on Friday while Trudeau had two assists and was a plus-3 in two Islanders' victories.
The team also included Halifax Mooseheads' forwards Jordan Dumais and Elliot Desnoyers, who was named the player of the week. Joining the forwards was Felix-Antoine Marcotty of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan while his teammate Adam McCormick rounded out the blue-line.
Only Maritimes division teams played last week due to the coronavirus (COVID-19 strain) pandemic.
