A well-rested Colin Walsh allowed only a pair of hits, and struck out 11 hitters as 3 Cheers Bud Light Dodgers advanced to the St. John’s Molson Senior Men’s Softball League final with a 6-0 win over Kelly’s Pub Molson Bulldogs Sunday.

The Dodgers took the best-of-five semifinal 3-1, and will now play NTV Hitmen in the best-of-seven final series which starts 6 p.m. Tuesday at Lions Park.

The Bulldogs were the five-time defending champs.

The fourth game of the Dodgers-Bulldogs semifinal was postponed three times this week because of rain.

Walsh, who was perfect through four complete innings, surrendered only one walk. Sean Cleary (6IP, 6R, 7H, 3BB, 12K) was tagged with the loss.

Walsh helped his own cause with two hits. Ryan Kirk also had two hits, including a two-run home run.

Gary Bruce and Jon Kelly had the only Kelly’s Pub hits.

Game 2 of the final goes Thursday at 6 followed by Game 3 1 p.m. Saturday. Game 4 is slated for 1 p.m. Sunday. The remaining games, if necessary, are to be determined.

All games are at Lions Park.
