Duffy Earle back as Newfoundland and Labrador provincial swim coach

Meredith 'Duffy' Earle has been named Swimming Newfoundland and Labrador’s technical director and provincial coach, returning the job she held from March 2013 to September of 2017.

 

Earle has been head coach of the Mount Pearl Marlins since 2007. In addition, she has served for five years as the director of competitions on the Swimming NL executive committee and for four years as the co-head coach of the Memorial University Sea-Hawks varsity swim team.

As am NCCP learning facilitator, she has mentored dozens of young coaches across the province.

“The continued progress of our sport is evident in that we are in a position to rehire an incredibly passionate, dedicated swimming professional” says Corina Hartley, Executive Director of Swimming Newfoundland and Labrador. “Duffy will help Swimming NL achieve our strategic vision for competitive swimming.”

Earle officially takes over the job on Sept. 1.
