The deputy commissioner of the National Basketball League of Canada is reviewing information before determining if any disciplinary action will be taken against St. John’s Edge players.

Audley Stephenson told The Telegram Wednesday night he is expecting a copy of the referee’s report, and won’t be make any statements or, potentially, handing out any fines or other discipline following the Edge’s 104-70 loss to the Halifax Hurricanes Tuesday night.

In that game, the Edge picked up three technical fouls — one to Glen Davis and two team technicals.

Sources say Davis and assistant coach Steve Marcus met the three referees near the Mile One Centre post-game as the officials were leaving the building.

It was the second straight loss for the Edge after winning 11 of 12 games. As a team, St. John’s shot just 30.8 per cent from the field.
