With training camp around the corner, the St. John’s Edge added another player to its roster Monday, giving the National Basketball League of Canada 12 players under contract.
The Edge signed 6-5, 205-pound Todd Brown of Canton, Ohio. Brown played NCAA Division I basketball for Wright State of Dayton, Ohio before heading overseas to Austria. Last season, he played in Argentina, averaging 14.5 points per game for Penerol.
St. John’s also signed Guillaume Boucard to a contract Monday, a week after trading for the Montreal native from the Sudbury Five for cash considerations.

“He was tough to play against,” English said. “I liked how he guarded me. I really like him. He’s Canadian, too, which makes it even better.”
NBL Canada teams must have five Canadians on their 12-man active rosters.
