The Calgary Stampeders have signed a trio of international defensive linemen — Kevin Prosser, Tee Sims and Darnell Thompson.
Prosser, at 6-foot-2, 227 lb., played 47 games over four seasons with the NCAA’s Wyoming Cowboys. The 22-year-old native of Aurora, Colo., recorded 90 career tackles as a member of the Cowboys, including 20 tackles for loss and also had 11.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception for a touchdown and four pass breakups.
Sims played three seasons with the NCAA’s Appalachian State Mountaineers and played 26 games, including 13 starts. For his collegiate career, the 24-year-old native of Covington, Ga., recorded 83 total tackles including 25.5 tackles for loss and 16.5 sacks. At, 6-foot-3, 250 lb., Sims earned first-team all-Sun Belt Conference honours as a senior after recording 9.5 sacks and 13.5 tackles for loss in 10 games. He transferred to Appalachian State from Georgia Military College, where he played two seasons.
In 31 games, including 25 starts, over three seasons with the NCAA’s Colorado State Rams, Thompson recorded 66 total tackles including 8.5 tackles for loss. Thompson, a 6-foot-4, 280-lb. native of Raleigh, N.C., also had 3.5 sacks and two pass breakups. The 25-year-old started his collegiate career at Highland Community College in Highland, Kan., and recorded 13 tackles, one sack and two fumble recoveries.
