Kyle Trask threw three touchdown passes to help No. 11 Florida build a 23-point halftime lead en route to a 40-17 victory against Florida State on Saturday night in Gainesville, Fla.

Receivers Freddie Swain and Van Jefferson each had two TD catches for the Gators (10-2), who finished the regular season 6-0 at home.

The triumph was Florida's first against Florida State at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in five tries dating back to 2009, when Tim Tebow was the Gators quarterback.

Jordan Travis and Cam Akers (102 yards, 17 carries) had TD runs for the Seminoles (6-6). Travis ran one yard in the first quarter, and Akers romped 50 yards in the third quarter.

Redshirt junior Trask finished 30 of 41 for 343 yards for the Gators, who outgained FSU 467-250.

Redshirt sophomore James Blackman was 14 of 23 for 150 yards for the Seminoles, who allowed eight sacks. Florida State was penalized 13 times for 97 yards, but Florida had just three penalties for 25 yards.

Florida's Evan McPherson kicked field goals of 50 yards in the second quarter and 21 yards in the fourth. FSU's Ricky Aguayo hit a 48-yarder in the third quarter.

Florida State defensive back Cyrus Fagan was ejected for targeting with 2:14 remaining in the third quarter.

Trailing 40-17, Florida State stopped Tommy Townsend's fake-punt attempt on fourth-and-1 from the Gators' 19. The Seminoles, however, came away with no points as Aguayo missed a 44-yard field goal with 7:40 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Gators backup quarterback Emory Jones threw a 6-yard TD pass to Jefferson to give Florida a 37-10 lead at 6:34 of the third quarter.

Trask was 18 of 27 for 239 yards and three TDs as the Gators took a 30-7 halftime lead. Florida outgained FSU 305-95 and had 18 first downs to Florida's four.

Swain had five first-half catches for 62 yards, including his two TDs. His 19-yard scoring reception finished the game's opening drive. His 23-yard catch and run down the left sideline gave Florida a 20-7 advantage at 10:55 of the second quarter.

Swain was sidelined with a lower-body injury and did not play in the second half.

Florida's Dameon Pierce ran one yard for a score at 13:46 of the second quarter, and Jefferson had a 13-yard TD catch at 5:06 to make it 27-7.

Travis scored at 5:59 of the first quarter to tie the score 7-7.

Dan Mullen became the first Gators head coach to win 10 games in each of his first two seasons.

Florida beat Florida State in consecutive seasons for the first time since winning six straight from 2004-09.
