Anthony Duclair isn’t going anywhere.
The Ottawa Senators signed the restricted free agent forward to a one-year, $1.65 million deal Monday to keep him in the fold. Acquired in the deal that sent Ryan Dzingel to the Columbus Blue Jackets at the deadline, Duclair was a restricted free agent.
“We were pleased with what Anthony was able to add to our lineup after his acquisition,” said general manager Pierre Dorion in a statement. “This signing improves our team speed and scoring depth up front. Anthony’s speed and skill can be dynamic and at only 23 years old, we feel he has the chance to grow into a really consistent contributor.”
The 23-year-old Duclair finished with eight goals and 14 points in 23 games with Ottawa.
