The West Coast Senior Hockey League is struggling to maintain parity between the three teams in the league this year.

Question: Do you think the senior hockey league will exist next season?

Jim Cox

Massey Drive

Sure. Corner Brook is a famous hockey town.

Bob Cook

Corner Brook

I think so. I think they’re going to have to rework it a little. Maybe a bit more co-operation between the teams, but yes.

Brad Penney

Massey Drived

Yeah, I believe so. I think so. Seems like Corner Brook Royals are having decent success this year, so I don’t see why not.

Kristen Bromley

Corner Brook

According to Art Barry, they’re hoping. Seems to be a lot of interest in it. Corner Brook seems to get a lot of support. I don’t know how it is in the other places.

Rocky Bromley

Corner Brook

I think so. I think Deer Lake is probably going to come back with a team. I think Deer Lake is missing this year big time, so I think they’ll come back. The league has to get its ducks in a row again. I seen Art Barry in the paper a couple of days ago, talking about the lack of parity, so maybe they have to make some changes there. I hope so.

Chris Grant

Corner Brook

I certainly hope so. It’s drawing some good crowds, it’s entertaining and it’s good to have all the communities involved. But I guess the executive will have to figure out how to make it work for everyone so we don’t have another bust of a senior hockey league.
