Ryane Clowe, the newly-appointed Newfoundland Growlers coach, is donning the Toronto Maple Leafs’ blue and white sweat suit for the first time this week at the Leafs’ development camp at the MasterCard Centre in Etobicoke, Ont.

The Growlers are the ECHL affiliate of the Leafs, and Clowe is an employee of Toronto.

Clowe, from Fermeuse, NL, was an assistant coach with the New Jersey Devils the past two years after winding up a lengthy playing career, which included 10 years in the NHL with the San Jose Sharks, New York Rangers and Devils.
