The Conception Bay Blues will be looking to generate some heat on the ice and warmth in the community they host the league-leading St. John’s Green Sleeves Caps in East Coast Senior Hockey play at the Conception Bay South Arena tonight.
Tonight’s game (7 p.m.) is part of a weekend drive — Blues Coats for Kids — organized by the senior hockey team that asks fans attending the games at the C.B.S. Arena to bring along new or gently-used winter-wear (coats, gloves, hats, etc, for either children or adults), which will be in turn donated to the Salvation Army.
The Blues will be working to get into weekend win column after dropping a 2-1 decision Friday night to the Southern Shore Puglisevich Breakers at the C.B.S. Arena.
It was one of two games on the ECSHL Friday schedule, The other saw the Caps down the Northeast Eagles 5-2 at Jack Byrne Arena in Torbay.
