The Conception Bay Blues and Northeast Eagles split a pair of weekend provincial senior hockey games as the league clewed up the pre-Christmas portion of its 2018-19 schedule.
Saturday night at the C.B.S. Arena, Michael Ryan registered a natural hat trick helping the Blues to a 6-2 win. Mitch Normore, Lucas Lush and Ryan Power also scored for Conception Bay and Mitch Puddester had an easy time getting the win with 16 saves.
Tyler Walshe and Tyler Parsons had the Northeast goals. Doug Pippy was called on to make 43 saves for the Eagles.
The Eagles opened the two-game set with a 5-3 win Friday night at Jack Byrne Arena, thanks to a trio of Tylers.
Walshe had three goals, Tyler Bennett scored twice and Parsons recorded four assists. Kris Hodge netted a pair for the Blues, and Ryan scored once.
