There won’t be anything on the line other than bragging rights, but the mere sight of former Bruins lining up against former Canadiens should recollect past battles from one of hockey’s greatest rivalries.

Alumni teams from the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens are set to tangle next month at Mile One Centre in St. John’s. Headlining the Bruins will be Hall of Fame defenceman Ray Bourque, who will be joined by Terry O’Reilly, Rick Middleton, Al Lafrate, Ken Linseman, Bob Sweeney, Andrew Alberts and goaltender Andrew Raycroft.

The Habs will boast former all-stars John Leclair, Stephane Richer and Gary Leeman, along with Chris Nilan, Lucien Deblois, Darren Langdon, Steve Penney, Mike Lalor and Alain Cote.

The game is set for Thursday, Dec. 14, with the drop of the puck at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets, which went on sale Wednesday, are $35 for adults and $25 for students.
