You know those ‘Visitors Beware’ signs? They don’t belong in any East Coast Senior Hockey League playoff rinks.
The best-of-seven ECSHL semifinals resume on two fronts tonight and if the pattern seen through the first five playoff contests holds, then the home teams could be in trouble.
The visitors have won all five games so far this post-season, the latest coming Wednesday night at Jack Byrne Arena in Torbay, where the Southern Shore Puglisevich Breakers downed the Northeast Eagles 4-1.
That gives the Breakers a 2-1 lead in the series, with Game 4 set for 7:45 tonight at the Southern Shore Arena.
The other series — which sees the St. John’s Green Sleeves Caps and Conception Bay Hickman Chrysler Blues tied at 1-1 — swings back into action 7:15 p.m. at Twin Rinks, home to the Caps.
