Vanier College basketball star Karim Mané has signed a two-way contract with the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association.
Mané announced the signing Friday when he tweeted: Excited and humbled to be joining the Orlando Magic. All Glory to God!
Mané, who declared for the NBA draft in April, will be the first player to make the jump from the CEGEP ranks to the NBA. He wasn’t selected in the draft Wednesday , but signed with the Magic as a free agent. He will attend the Magic’s training camp and will most likely begin his pro career in the developmental G-League.
