The 26-year-old Wall, who has been having a solid first season in the ECHL, has been signed to a professional tryout contract by the AHL’s Utica Comets.
The Comets are shorthanded on the blueline because of injuries and the recall of Andrey Pedan to the parent Vancouver Canucks.
Wall has been with the ECHL’s Adirondack (Glens Falls, N.Y.) Thunder and leads all blueliners on that team with three goals and 21 points in 29 games this season. He turned pro with the Thunder after an amateur career that saw him play four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and another five at the collegiate level, finishing up last season with the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds.

Wall had been signed to a PTO by another New York-based AHL team — the Albany Devils — earlier this season, but didn’t appear in any games for that club.
