Nathan Noel of St. John’s has been recalled to the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs.
Noel, 20, had been with the ECHL’s Indy Fuel since November, where he had four goals and five assists in 17 games.
However, the rookie forward hasn’t played since Dec. 27 after sustaining an injury. It was actually Noel’s second stint on injured reserve this season after missing several weeks with a knee injury he suffered in training camp.
Noel was drafted in the fourth round, 113th overall, by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2016 NHL Draft.
