Members of Newfoundland and Labrador Selects teams were award-winners in every division of national age-group ball hockey championships which concluded in Fredericton, N.B., over the weekend.
Three members of the gold medal-winning NL male under-17  team earned honours, including Mark Hillier (MVP and top forward), Regan Seymour (top scorer) and Alex Doody (top defencemen). In the male U19 event, Newfoundlanders Cameron Simms (top scorer) and Joel Bishop (top forward) were recognized, while in the female U19 division, Team NL’s Katie Peddle (top defenceman) and Kelsey Shute (top goaltender) took home awards.
Both U19 teams claimed silver medals.
The province’s male U15 team earned a bronze medal in the Tier 2 competition, led by tourney top scorer Zachary Dean.
