Canadian Olympic gold medallist (2014 Sochi) and world champion hockey player Natalie Spooner will host a pair of hockey clinics for young girls under the age of nine (ages 5-8) and U12 (9-11) Sept. 22-23 at the Paradise Double Ice Complex.

Spooner, who also has an Olympic silver medal (2018 Pyeongchang), will be in St. John’s for the second annual Legends of Hockey Pro-Am in Paradise.

The Pro-Am, which is being held in support of Easter Seals, offers local hockey players an opportunity to skate with ex-NHLers.

Celebrity captains of the teams are Ray Bourque, Chris Nilan, John LeClair, Chris Kostopolous, Ron Duguay, Dennis Maruk, Bob Sweeney and Colin White. Spooner will captain a women’s squad.
