Tyler Wall scored three goals, and Jacob Gill netted a pair as the CBR Renegades won their third straight game in the Mary Brown’s St. John’s Junior Hockey League with a 7-2 win over the Avalon Capitals Saturday night.

At the C.B.S. Arena, Blake Fudge collected three assists for the winners, who improved to 12-4 on the season.

In other games … At The Glacier in Mount Peartl, the hometown Blades blanked the Trinity-Placentia Flyers 9-0. Colin O’Neill netted three goals for the winners, and James O’Brien potted a pair. Michael Broders scored once and assisted on three others … At Twin Rinks, Northeast Eagles doubled St. John’s Caps 6-3. Ryan Roche had a goal and an assist for the winners, and Mark Hudson registered three assists … At the Bay Arena in Bay Roberts, the C.B.N. Stars outscored the Southern Shore Breakers 12-7 in an old-fashioned shootout. Dave Hibbs had two goals and two assists for the Stars, and Luke Akerman and Kyle Tetford both had two goals and one helper. Ryan Petten scored once and collected two assists. Shayne Kavanagh and Kieran O’Driscoll both scored twice and added an assist for the Breakers, and Blake Dalton scored once and assisted on three others …
