Renegades pick up first win in junior B hockey

The CBR Renegades scored six third-period goals to beat the Western Red Wings of P.E.I. 9-6 Thursday at the Don Johnson Memorial Cup in Kensington, P.E.I.

It was CBR’s first win against two losses at the Atlantic junior B hockey championship.

Jimmy Kennedy, Tyler Wall, Nick Gosse, Nick David, Blake Fudge and Aaron Peach, into an empty net, scored for the Renegades in the third.

Tyler Hennessey scored in the first, with David, his first of two, and Ryan Tobin finding the mark in the second for the visitors.

Wall finished the day with a goal and four assists.

Jordan Blackwood got the win in goal.

The Renegades play the Moncton Junior Vitos today.
