St. John’s native and St. Francis Xavier X-Men head coach Brad Peddle is head coach of a team of Canadian university all-stars that will take on Canada’s world junior hockey hopefuls in a two-game exhibition series next week.
This is the third straight year the national junior prospects have faced off against the U Sports all-stars. Peddle was an assistant on the U Sports coaching staff last season.
The games, set for next Wednesday and Thursday in St. Catharines, Ont., will also serve as part of Hockey Canada’s national junior team selection camp for the 2018 world junior championship Dec. 26 -Jan. 5 in Buffalo.
