The Newfoundland Growlers expansion ECHL team begins its quest for the Kelly Cup league championship tonight against the Toledo Walleye in Game 1 of the best-of-seven final 7 o’clock at Mile One Centre. The Growlers captured the Eastern Conference title, beating the Florida Everblades 4-1 in a best-of-seven series. Newfoundland opened the playoffs by beating the Brampton Beast, and then disposed of the Manchester Monarchs.
