The East Coast Blizzard look to extend their winning streak this weekend when they play host to the Tri-Pen Osprey in a pair of Newfoundland and Labrador Major Midget Hockey League three-game series.

In Corner Brook, the defending league champion St. John’s Maple Leafs see their first action of the year against the Western Kings, who dropped three games to the Blizzard last weekend at home.

At the Goulds Arena, the Blizzard tangle with the Try-Pen Osprey starting 7:10 tonight. Game 2 is 6:10 p.m. Saturday with a third game noon Sunday.

These are Tri-Pen’s first games of the 2018-19 season.

At the Corner Brook Civic Centre, the Leafs and Kings tangle 8:30 tonight, 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.

The league has been reduced to four teams this season after the Central IcePak folded.
