One of the greatest, and certainly one of the most popular, Toronto Maple Leafs of all-time headlines a group of retired NHLers who will be touring Newfoundland later this month.

The Wendel Clark and Friends tour is set to stop in Fogo Island, Fortune and metro St. John’s March 23-26.

Joining Clark are Al Iafrate, Gary Leeman, Lucien Deblois, Chris Kotsopoulos and a quartet of former tough guys in Colton Orr — making his Legends of Hockey Alumni Tour debut — Chris Nilan, Darren Langdon and “Boxcar” Ed Hospodar.

Games on Fogo Island March 23 and Fortune March 26 are sold out, but tickets for the game at Torbay’s Jack Byrne Arena on the 24th are still available. Admission is $20. An intermission pass to the Legends’ dressing room is $25 and a meet and greet with the players afterwards also costs $25.

Also, 20 local recreation hockey players will be selected to play against the retired NHLers on the ‘Local Legends’ team. Players looking to participate are required to sell 25 game tickets to play in the event, and can contact Rian Mugford at [email protected]

On Monday, March 25, “A Night with Wendel & Friends” is scheduled for the Glendenning Golf Club in St. John’s, which includes dinner and a night of storytelling, question and answer session, pictures and autographs.

Tickets are $100 per person, or $750 for a table of eight.

Tickets to the Torbay game and Glendenning golf dinner are available at the Jack Byrne Arena or Maverick Sports on Water Street.
