The home team had all the advantage, and the visitors were out of luck Friday and Saturday in the Mary Brown’s St. John’s Junior Hockey League as four teams won on home ice.

At Twin Rinks, Ian Woolfrey posted the shutout, and Justin Hann scored a goal and assisted on another as the St. John’s Caps blanked Avalon Capitals 3-0 … At the C.B.S. Stadium, CBR Renegades got a goal and two assists from Blake Fudge in a 5-4 win over Northeast Eagles. Tyler Wall contributed to the Renegades’ attack with a goal and a helper … On Friday, Cameron Simms had two goals and two assists, Ryan Petten collected a pair of goals with a helper and Ryan Dawson had three assists as the C.B.N. Stars downed St. John’s 6-3 at the Bay Arena … At the Southern Shore Arena, Shayne Kavanagh and Blake Dalton had the hot hands with two goals and two assists apiece as the homestanding Breakers trimmed Trinity-Placentia Flyers 9-2. A.J. Doyle scored two goals and assisted on another, and Tyler Planetta scored once and assisted on two others … Sunday at the Trinity-Placentia Stadium, the homestanding Flyers couldn’t keep the streak going, dropping a 7-3 game to the Stars who won twice on the weekend …
