The Carolina Hurricanes have recalled forward Clark Bishop, and the St. John’s native was expected to be in the team’s lineup for its game in Chicago Thursday night against the Blackhawks.

Bishop made his NHL debut on Oct. 20 against the Colorado Avalanche, and made a second NHL appearance in Detroit against the Red Wings before he reassigned to the AHL’s Charlotte Checkers.

He scored a goal in his first game back with the Checkers on Oct. 24.

Bishop has three goals and a pair of assists in nine AHL games this season.
