Senior guard Devonte Green and junior center Joey Brunk each had 16 points, lifting Indiana to a 79-54 win over visiting Princeton at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind.
Justin Smith added 14 points for the Hoosiers (5-0), who are off to their best start since starting 5-0 in 2013-14. Freshman forward Trayce Jackson-Davis had 11 points and 4 rebounds.
Green, in his second game back from a hamstring injury, added four assists and one steal in a sold all-around floor game.
Sophomore guard Jaelin Llewellyn led Princeton (0-4) with 15 points, with freshman guard Ryan Langborg adding 13 points off the bench.
Indiana shot 50 percent from the floor in the first half to take a 35-31 halftime lead. The Hoosiers led by as many as seven points early but were unable to pull away.
Llewellyn, who scored 13 of his points in the first half, gave Princeton a brief 25-24 lead on a steal and breakaway layup with 6:01 left. But IU answered quickly on an inside basket from Brunk and a 3-pointer from Green late in the shot clock to put the Hoosiers back up 29-25.
A driving layup by Llewellyn tied the score at 31 with 1:19 left before intermission, but IU scored the last four points of the half on a pair of free throws and Jackson-Davis jumper with 5.7 seconds left in the first half.
Indiana pulled away in the second half by holding Princeton to just 28 percent shooting the rest of the way.
The Hoosiers played without senior forward De'Ron Davis, who sat out the game in street clothes for undisclosed reasons. Sophomore point guard Rob Phinisee returned to action for the Hoosiers after sitting out IU's last game with strep throat, but left the game in the second half after taking a blow to the body.
