It was a good week twice over for Colin Thomas’s St. John’s curling rink, which remains the only undefeated entry in SuperLeague play at the RE/Max Centre after a 6-0 Draw 6 win over Kelli Turpin.

The Thomas rink also came away with the title and $2,800 top prize in the weekend Centennial Spiel, the first cashspiel of the local curling season.

The final saw Thomas and Co. defeat Andrews Symonds’ rink 6-3. It was Symonds’ only setback in the event.

It was the second time the Thomas rink handed an opponent its only loss of the spiel, having also done so in the semifinal versus Heather Strong.
