League-leading scorer Jessie Noseworthy ran her goal streak to nine games and Holy Cross Avalon Ford continued its league dominance with a 5-0 win over the St. John’s U17s in Breen’s Jubilee Trophy women’s soccer Monday night at King Goerge V Park in St. John’s.
Newsworthy scored twice, giving her 15 goals on the season. She has tallied in every one of her team’s 10 games — all victories — except for its season-opener.
Julie Crocker, Teri Murphy and Jane Pope also scored for Holy Cross, while Jaime Crocker and Sarah Wicks shared the shutout.
