Either the defending champion Kelly’s Pub Molson Bulldogs or NTV Hitmen will be within a game of advancing to the 2020 St. John’s Molson Senior Men’s Softball League championship final following play this evening at Lions Park.

The Hitmen and Bulldogs are tied 1-1 in their best-of-five semifinal entering Game 3 at 6 p.m. today at Lions Park.

Awaiting the Bulldogs or Hitmen are 3 Cheers Pub Dodgers, who swept The Bigs 3-0 in their semifinal series.

The Dodgers won Game 3 8-7 Sunday at Lions Park, thanks in large part to Colin Walsh (4.2IP, 1R, 5H, 0BB, 3K) who picked up the win in relief and went four-for-four at the plate with two solo home runs.

Kyle Ezekiel had three hits and hit two solo shots. Jason Hill collected two hits, including a two-run home run.

Hill (2.1IP, 6R, 6H, 2BB, 3K) started the game. Mitchel Whelan (0IP, 2R, 2H, 0BB, 0K) took the loss after relieving starter Nick Pittman (6IP, 6R, 7H, 3BB, 4K).

Shane O'Brien, Geoff Evely and Pittman each collected two hits for The Bigs.
