Holy Cross padded its first-place lead in the Johnson Challenge Cup provincial senior men’s soccer standings by eight points with a 3-1 win over C.B.S. That Pro Look Strikers Wednesday night.

At King George V Park, Colin Connors scored twice and Harry Carter had the single as the Crusaders improved to 8-0-2. Kyle Ryan had the Strikers’ only goal.

At the Dianne Whelan Soccer Complex Wednesday, second-place Feildians received goals from Felly Elonda, Fomba Fombullah and Emmanuel Dolo to beat homestanding Paradise 3-0.

Challenge Cup play resumes next Wednesday with a pair of games. Strikers play host to Feildians at 7 p.m. at the Topsail pitch, while Holy Cross and Paradise tangle at 7 p.m. at King George V Park.
