Dodgers take 2020 Molson John Gorman Memorial tournament

3 Cheers Pub Dodgers used the long ball to win the 2020 Molson John Gorman Memorial softball tournament championship Thursday evening.

Tournament MVP Kyle Ezekiel hit a three-run home run, Jason Hill hit a two-run shot and Colin Walsh hit a solo blast as the Dodgers defeated Kelly’s Pub Molson Bulldogs 6-5 in the championship game at Lions Park.

Walsh (7IP, 5R, 8H, 2BB, 7K) pitched the win over Sean Cleary (7IP, 6R, 5H, 4BB, 14K).

For Kelly's, Cleary and Liam Myers both hit solo home runs.

Other tournament award winners were top batter Jason Hill of 3 Cheers Pub (.500 average) and sportsmanship and ability winner Jon Kelly of Kelly's Pub (.500 average, two home runs, four RBI).

Final tournament standings were:

1. 3 Cheers Pub Dodgers, 4-2

2. Kelly's Pub Molson Bulldogs, 3-2

3. NTV Hitmen, 2-3

4. The Bigs, 1-3

Members of the 3 Cheers Pub Dodgers championship team are Kyle Ezekiel, Jordan Hamilton, Jason Hill, Ryan Kelly, Nathan Kenny, Ryan Maher, Doug Marshall, Tyler McDonald, Tony Meade, Blair Pittman, Logan Power, Mark Stack, Colin Walsh, coach Loyola Power and sponsor Junior Bruce.
