Daniel Cadigan had a six-point game and Brandon Baird registered a hat trick as the East Coast Senior Hockey League-leading Southern Shore Puglisevich Breakers romped to a 9-1 win over the visiting Harbour Grace Ocean Enterprise CeeBee Stars on Sunday.

At the Ken Williams Southern Shore Arena in Mobile, Cadigan had two goal and four assists as the Breakers (12-0-1) recorded their second win of the weekend to remain undefeated in regulation this season.

It was a 10th win in a row for Southern Shore, which had defeated the Clarenville Caribous 5-2 Saturday night in Clarenville.

In Sunday’s game, Blake Dalton, with two, Michael Chafe and Brandon Pye had the other goals for the Breakers, who totalled 47 shots in the game

The CeeBees’ Cody Batten had opened the scoring just 86 seconds into the contest, but that was it for scoring by the visitors.

Saturday at the Clarenville Eastlink Events Centre, Jeremy Nicholas scored twice for the visiting Breakers, with Brandon Pye, Dalton and Steven Fowler adding singles. Chad Earle and Jeremy Masters replied for the second-place Caribous (7-4-0).

It was one of two ECSHL games played Saturday.

At the Danny Cleary Community Centre in Harbour Grace, the Northeast Eagles got goals from five different players in a 5-4 win over the CeeBees

Eric Hutchings, Tyler Bennett, John Charles Snow, Brandon Bussey and Eric Walbourne scored for the winners. Jesse Morris had a pair for the CeeBees, who dressed only 12 skaters. Brian Greeley and Steven Greeley potted singles.

A pair of games that were to have been played Friday — Clarenville at Northeast, and the St. John’s Caps at the Conception Bay Blues — were postponed because the state of emergency in St. John’ was still in effect on that day.
