Blair Ezekiel of the Kelly’s Pub Molson Bulldogs and Nick Pittman of Lafontaine Club are the June winners of the Molson St. John’s senior and intermediate softball players of the month awards.
Ezekiel’s Bulldogs won the St. John's Day Tournament championship last month where he was the MVP with a .400 batting average, three home runs and 3-0 pitching record (21 strikeouts in 20 innings).
Overall, Kelly’s was 12-0 in June.
Pittman also copped an MVP award last month, leading Lafontaine Club to the Molson Swing Into Summer tournament championship. He threw a no-hitter in the tournament, and a shutout in the championship game.
Overall, Pittman was 8-0 on the mound in June, with a 0.94 ERA and 93 strikeouts in 52.2 innings.
