Feildians handed Holy Cross its first loss of the 2020 Johnson Insurance Challenge Cup provincial men’s soccer season Wednesday, blanking the Crusaders 2-0 at King George V Park.

The first-place Crusaders have 11 wins, a pair of ties and a loss in 14 games this season. Feildians continue to hold down second place at 8-4.

Emmanuel Dolo, at 36 minutes, and Fomba Fombullah, at 73, scored for the Double Blues.

In another game Wednesday, at the Dianne Whalen Soccer Complex, C.B.S. That Pro Look Strikers edged the homestanding Paradise squad 4-3.

Scoring for the Strikers were Ryan Thistle (2 minutes), Kyle Ryan (8), Nico Boehme (37) and Ryan Day (71). Eru Samuels (14 minutes), Laith Alzghoul (46) and Ben Noftall (89) had the Paradise goals.

Three games are scheduled for this weekend. St. Lawrence plays host to Paradise Saturday (4 p.m.) and Sunday (1 p.m.) for a pair of games at Centennial Field, and Holy Cross travels to Topsail Saturday for a 7 p.m. game against the Strikers.
