Unbeaten now in four games, Holy Cross improved its league-leading record to 9-1-2 with an 8-1 win over Calvin Randell Strikers FC in Breen’s Jubilee Trophy provincial senior women’s soccer Monday evening at King George V Park.

The Lady Crusaders suffered their only loss on the year, a 2-0 setback to Feildians, Aug. 31. Holy Cross has three wins and a tie since then.

Jessie Noseworthy, Nicole Torraville and Maria Mackey all had two goals apiece for Holy Cross Monday. Kate Hickey and Malorie Harris potted singles. Isabella Hoddinott replied.

In another game at King George V on Monday, Katie Joyce scored the game’s only goal as Feildians beat St. John’s Soccer Club 1-0.

Two games are scheduled for Thursday night at King George V. At 7 p.m., Feildians and the Strikers meet, followed by Holy Cross and St. John’s Soccer Club at 9 p.m.
