Mount Pearl native and University of New Brunswick women’s hockey player Ashley Stratton is the latest Subway Atlantic University Sport (AUS) female athlete of the week.
The sophomore forwarded four points on three goals and an assist as UNB won twice last week.
In a 4-3 win over Moncton Wednesday night, she scored UNB’s second goal on a power play. On Saturday, Stratton scored two goals—including the game-winner—and added an assist as the Reds downed the Dalhousie Tigers 4-1 in Fredericton, N.B.
As might have been expected, Stratton was also named UNB’s female athlete of the week.
In 2018-19, Stratton had six goals and nine assists in 28 games for the Reds as a rookie.
