Only two of 12 teams remain unbeaten through the early part of the 2019-20 SuperLeague season at the Re/Max Centre (St. John’s Curling Club), and just one of those two has played in all three draws to date.

That’s Rick Rowsell and his team, who edged Andrew Symonds’ rink 5-4 in Draw 5 action.

Just behind Rowsell  at 2-0, is Erica Curtis, who had a bye in the third draw, followed by five entries tied with 2-1 records.

Symonds, who won the league title last year after capturing the Tankard provincial men’s championship and representing Newfoundland and Labrador at the Brier, is still looking for a first win. He’s not alone; two other former SuperLeague champions — Jeff Thomas and Trent Skanes — are also 0-3.
