CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Tyler Boland scored twice, including the game-winning goal, Saturday as the UNB Reds defeated the UPEI Panthers 3-2 in Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey action at MacLauchlan Arena.

Former Charlottetown Islanders captain Oliver Cooper broke a 1-1 tie nine minutes into the third period just after the Panthers had killed a penalty. Boland made it a two-goal lead 2:18 later.

Jesse Sutton deflected a shot for a power-play goal to make it 3-2 with 4:38 left. The Panthers made a late push for the equalizer, but couldn’t cash in.
