The Memorial Sea-Hawks men’s soccer team was bounced from the AUS playoffs Thursday with a 3-0 loss to the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds in a quarter-final game in Sydney, N.S.
All of UNB’s scoring came in the first half, including what proved to be the winning tally just four minute into the contest.
The game was the last varsity contest for Memorial striker Tyler Forsey and defender Alex Pretty, both second-team AUS all-stars, and team captain Jordi Slaney.

After missing the playoffs in 2106, the Sea-Hawks had a 5-6-1 record in the 2017 regular-season, enough to give them sixth place and a first-round playoff meeting against the thirtd-seeded Varsity Reds
