Memorial University’s Dennis Sutton is set to begin competition today at the U Sports Canadian university wrestling championships at Algoma University in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.
Sutton, Memorial’s only athlete in the event, is in the 100-kilogram division with seven other competitors. The eight are divided into two pools, with Sutton’s including the silver medallist from last year’s event.
Sutton finished sixth at the 2017 U Sports championship after claiming a bronze medal the previous year.
The event concludes Saturday.
