The C.B.S. That Pro Look Strikers and defending champion Holy Cross each made the most out of their weekend schedules in Johnson Insurance Challenge Cup provincial men's soccer.

Holy Cross and C.B.S. each posted two victories, tightening the race among the four teams jostling for playoff position in the standings.
The Strikers are now just a point out of first place after beating Feildians 2-1 on Saturday in Topsail and following up with a 4-2 victory over Paradise SC at the Dianne Whalen Complex.
Feildians, which continues to hold spot, has a game on hand on C.B.S.
In Pardise, the Strikers trailed 2-1 two-thirds of the way through Sunday’s contest before rallying for the win, getting three goals — including two from Erik Mathiasen — in the last 11 minutes of regulation
Meanwhile, Holy Cross had two shutout wins at King George V Park in St. John's, getting four goals in the last 17 minutes en route to a 5-0 win over Paradise on Saturday and following up with a 3-0 whitewashing of last-place and still winless Mount Pearl ProActive on a soggy Sunday.
As a result, the Crusaders move into third place ahead of the idle St. Lawrence Laurentians and just a point in arrears of C.B.S. and two behind Feildians.
