Lucan Meade of Clovelly Golf Club in St. John’s recorded a 41 to win his second bantam boys division title on the Tely Tour junior golf series, the latest stop being the Future Shooters Showdown at The Wilds in Salmonier.
Meade won by two strokes over clubmate Griffin Gallant. Evan Gulliver of Pitcher's Pond placed third with a score of 45. Sanjana Gullipalli of Clovelly recorded a 44 in the Bantam Girls Division.
Geoff Kerr of Bally Haly Country Club in St. John’s won the boys’ junior division title with a score of 94 . Kerr was six strokes better than Glendenning Golf’s Travis Noel.
In the Juvenile Boys Division, Thomas Hudson carded a 114 .
The next events on the 2019 Tely Junior Tour are the Bally Haly Junior Invitational Aug. 19, Gatorade Masters Invitational at Clovelly Aug. 20 and the Pippy Park Junior Invitational Aug. 22.
