Memorial Sea-Hawks varsity women’s basketball player Brooklyn Wright is The Telegram sports department’s choice as athlete of the week.

Wright, a 6-2, fourth-year forward out of Cambridge, Ont., drained 30 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Sea-Hawks beat the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers 87-79 last Sunday in Charlottetown.

Saturday night, Wright had 20 points and seven boards in a 61-59 setback to the Panthers.

Wright is currently seventh in Atlantic University Sport scoring, averaging 15.5 points per game.
