Memorial Sea-Hawks star guard Sydney Stewart is The Telegram sports department’s choice as athlete of the week.
Stewart recorded a triple-double last Sunday as the 5-9 Sea-Hawks upset the 12-2 UPEI Panthers 88-81 at the Field House. Stewart finished the day with 33 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists and five steals.
Saturday night, she scored 14 points and pulled down eight rebounds as the Lady Birds dropped a tough 77-75 decision to the Panthers.
Stewart sits third in AUS scoring, averaging 22 points per game.
