Conference-leading scorer Nathan Barker had a game-high 31 points for Memorial, but it wasn’t enough to give the Sea-Hawks a win over the visiting Saint Mary’s Huskies in Atlantic University Sport men’s basketball play Sunday afternoon at the Field House in St. John’s.

Saint Mary’s (3-1) defeated Memorial 86-78 in the only game played between the two sides on the weekend. They were to have squared off twice, but a power outage Saturday night led to cancellation of what was to have been their first meeting. There has been no immediate word how the postponement will be addressed  and when or where any potential make-up game will be played.

Barker, who is averaging 26 points through three games this season, played all 40 minutes Sunday, as did fellow Memorial  starter Jason Thompson, who had a dozen points and six assists.

Daniel Foo contributed 17 points off the bench for the Sea-Hawks, who are still looking for their first win of the 2018-19 season.

Boris Ristanovic grabbed 12 rebounds for Memorial.

Johneil Johnston (15 points) and Nico Brauner (14) led the way for Saint Mary’s (3-1) and were among five Huskies in double digits in scoring.

The Sea-Hawks host the Acadia Axemen (1-3) for a pair of games next weekend at the Field House.
