Memorial Sea-Hawks third-year basketball star Nathan Barker was named the Atlantic University Sport athlete of the week.
Barker, from Massey Drive, had back-to-back games of 31- and 34 points in a split with St. Francis Xavier X-Men in Antigonish, N.S. last weekend.
Barker now leads the conference in scoring, averaging 22.2 points per game.
Needless to say, Barker was the Sea-Hawks’ male athlete of the week.
The university’s top female athlete for the week was another basketball player, Sydney Ezekiel.
Ezekiel, a fifth-year guard, averaged 16 points per game, eight rpg and four assists each game as the Lady Birds swept a pair of games from the X-Women in Antigonish.
