For the 43rd straight year, the Boxing Day Fun Run is set for Dec. 26 in St. John’s.
The event started in 1974 with four runners and has grown to a point where there are two race distances — 2K and 4K.
The race course starts and finishes at the Bowring Park West Gate entrance, and proceeds in and around the park.
The start time is 10:30 a.m., with registration 10 o’clock at the West Gate entrance. Registration is $5 or a non-perishable food donation, which will be going to the food bank.
The race is organized by the New World Running Club.
